I like to play with the process - when I was printmaking, I broke my plates, overprinted and collaged identical images.  As a painter, I was the person painting layer upon layer with muddy turps as my favorite medium.  I spent the last few years experimenting with wax, testing the line between art and decorative art - can something be too pretty to be art?

My first formal training at the age of 13 was a life drawing class with my Mom, an artist who thought that the nude figure and art were synonymous. Drawing the human figure grounds me - it is my roots, in my blood, after 35 years it is still always exciting and challenging.

So, now I'm back to the figure, deconstructing it, turning it into a landscape, coating it with wax, turning my drawings into plates, my plates into drawings.  As always - I'm along for the ride - seeing where the process takes me...
